Pepin’s Pharmaceutical Prattle for 04-09-2007
Quote of the day: Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future. Charles F. Kettering (1876 - 1958)
Good morning ! Easter Eggs Do you know what Easter eggs are? Sure there are the hard boiled, chocolate and Faberge eggs related to the feast of Easter. Children hunt for them and experience some joy; the "experience of owning something of great value". There are places other than the White House lawn where you can find another type of easter egg. By entering a series of letters or numbers while in a computer program you can be rewarded with a surprise piece of text, a sound, game, or picture. go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22easter+egg%22+%2B+word and find your version of Microsoft word and try a few. The steps are not any that you would take by chance but the results are often funny or surprising. Same goes for Excel and many popular video games such as Halo. TV shows have incorporated some easter eggs. The series "LOST" contains Easter Eggs such as seeing Hurly on the Korean TV as Jin comes home to Sun. Do you have "easter eggs" inside of you? Something special or funny that most people do not know about? What combinations of "buttons" will get you to reveal a special spark or two? Many relations are a little like this in the early years. The magic is still there and you remain interested as you happen upon combinations that reveal something about your special someone. Over many years of marriage you uncover all of the "easter egss" and can probably predict what your spouse will say or do in almost every circumstance. Latter, the buttons that get pushed may be all the wrong ones as each partner attempts to get some reaction from the other spouse. Here's one you can try to liven things up…. when your button is pushed: do nothing. It takes two to play tennis and the game stops if one player does not hit the ball back. Another thing to do to revive some sparks is attempting something new; read a book outside of your normal fare, try a new dinning establishment or entree, drive a different way to work or church, send flowers for no reason… use your imagination. Give your partner something new to discover. Let them find some new Easter Eggs and the excitement just might return. If not, at least you learned something new. =================================================== ps. Best answer this week to the question "How are you?" was "Super-dee-dooper" pps. Occasionally, some of the links require FREE registration.... I'm sure you can handle THAT slight inconvenience. ------------
